  • June Already!!

Where has the time gone?  Looper always says it goes to Cleveland; not sure why.
Through the years I've had an on again off again relationship with "walking".  Generally, I love walking outside, out in nature, in the fresh air, rain, snow, whatever.  I love it.  But sometimes there are periods of real laziness and I give it up for months at a time.  One of those periods is at an end as of Saturday.  On Saturday the Loop and I went for a walk around Osprey Lake. It was really a stroll; with no exertion at all.  For the rest of the day we were both exhausted.  Now that is just sad and unacceptable even if we are "older".  I mean I was very disappointed that I had let things go for so long.  Therefore on Monday I began (again) a regimen of walking.  It's too lovely here not to take advantage of the surroundings and I'm too out of shape not to remedy the situation.  So, here I go and I hope I'll be able to maintain my determination for the rest of my life!
On another note:  our David is doing much better this chemo week than the last one.  Some meds were adjusted and many prayers were prayed and answered. The results are amazing compared to 2 weeks ago.  He has chemo every other week for 3 days at a time.  It is brutal; but he's a fighter; and God is good.  So that's an unbeatable combination.
Off to work (still working lots of extra hours) but first another cup of coffee.  What would I do without coffee.
    Have a wonderful week!

  • Tim's Birthday

Today is the 26th Birthday of Timothy Joshua Dube`!!!
    HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY TIM!!!

I remember every moment of the day you were born; I like to think I do anyway.  Thank you for being born so quickly; you've always been very considerate.  You have grown up to be a wonderful man with a gift for helping people "get things done" and a much-appreciated sense of humor.  You're a genius!!
I am beyond thankful for you and I love you with all my heart.

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!

    XOXOXO

  • I think I'm finished

Mother's Day was wonderful.  Since I became a  Mom I have enjoyed Mother's Day even more than my Birthday, and not because I'm not reminded of my ever-increasing age.  I still find my children enchanting and I might love them a little bit more each year!  For the past years that David and Rachel have been my "children" too, it's even better because I see how happy Christin and Tim are because of them.  Zoe is the icing on the cake!  And my grand-dog Bodie Boderson is such a good boy. I'm thankful to the Lord for His grand design of families.
I confess to just one more trip to "flowerland" today.  It was really just Jewel since I had to purchase food for a retirement party we're having at work tomorrow.(no, not me).  I needed a couple of asparagus ferns to complete my deck-scape.  I think I'm really finished this time.
One of the people at work told me that she had a dream about me last night in which I was ironing tie-dyed tee shirts!  I told her it was most likely a flash from my hippie-wanna-be days.  It all kind of goes together with the flowers.  Don't worry, I won't start smoking anything.
That's it for today.  Have a lovely week!
Oh and I must give my undying thanks to Christin for hooking me up with firefox last night.  I hope I learn to work with it comfortably, but don't hold your breath.  Actually I think she called it mozilla/firefox, (maybe).  Bye!

  • Hooked on Flowers

Every day, after work, I go directly to someplace that sells flowers and I buy some.  So far I have gone to HomeDepot once and KMart twice.  Today at KMart a lady was just unloading some gorgeous plants when I arrived, so I bought something called calibrachoa.  I already have two of them and they are so beautiful.  Our deck looks fabulous.  Yea sunshine and flowers!!  I may be addicted to the purchase of plants and I'll probably regret it when I'm watering twice a day in the heat of Summer, but right now I'm in the moment and I'm happy to be there!  Hope you are too!

  • Way Too Busy

So, now I'm working every day starting at 8:30 a.m.  It began last week and will continue for about a month.  So far I love the hours; starting first thing in the morning (sort of) and even the M thru F isn't bad.  I think I could get used to it.  I still have to work Saturdays though, so that's a minus.  Anyway, that's my life for a while. I also want to say the I just love the people I work with.  They make the job enjoyable and the atmosphere fun.  We "rock-u-py" the library!!  (I can hear my daughters groaning and I can hear my Son saying "O brother".

David is doing quite well; but don't stop praying for them.  Chemo will start soon, but they're not sure just when.

I'm going to carve out some time to buy flowers for our deck this week.  I love this time of year; Spring-Summer-Fall.    New life and welcome warmth.

    Have a blessed Spring week!!!
